About Me

Introduction

My name is Moritz Schulze. I am a 22-year old student and currently live in Dresden, Germany where I pursue my cooperate studies in Business Information Systems.
In my free time I read a lot, learn French and work out for a Marathon.
I have a huge passion for thru-hiking and other cultures which is why I am sharing my experience about my recent hikes and travel adventures on this blog. If you want to get to know me in person, do not hesitate to send an e-mail to info@moritz-schulze.com or visit the Contact & Support page of this website.

Why do I write this blog?

Are you an influencer now? Will you be doing follow-me-around videos on instagram and do a weird Youtube videos?

I can assure you that I do not plan any of these things, though you probably already know that I can be weird from time to time.
The main reason why I started this blog is because I felt I want to stay in touch with the people who care about me without anoying anybody else on social media. Sometimes it seems to me that social media is just a way for most people to show of. My goal with this blog is to take a step or two away from the superficial and more and more meaningless communication we are confronted with every day in social media. Writing blog articles usually is a little harder than posting a three line twitter post and lets me reflect in depth what I have accomplished, gone through or enjoyed and helps me relive my great experiences which I want to share with you – the people who actually care enough about me to visit this external webpage.

Will there be a German translation of this page soon?

I plan on writing this blog in three different languages:
English, German and French.
However, I just started and plan to provide most of the content in English first to make it possible for my friends from all over the world to understand my texts. I especially plan on using this blog as a tool to improve my writing and communication skills in the above mentioned languages so be assured that there will probably be a translation in your mother tongue soon.

Do you have a newsletter?

Yes, I do. Feel free to sign up and stay tuned for new content.
